Central Oklahoma Turning Point

During the 1990's, only three areas of the world experienced a decline in the health  of their citizens--the former USSR, sub-Saharan Africa, and Oklahoma.

This mounting health crisis led a group of community leaders to create Central Oklahoma Turning Point in 2003 to examine the health problems in Central Oklahoma, prioritize them and create an action plan to address the issues.  COTP brings together partners from medicine, business, education, faith-based organizations, youth, civic groups, and government at all levels, to encourage healthier behaviors which will, in turn, help to prevent illness and disease.
